The company is committed to sustainable development, and at Klipwal has pioneered innovative models with local communities on formalizing artisanal miners, ensuring food security and developing ecotourism.
ABOUT US
Quinton and Richard met through a mutual friend and shared a passion for deal making in the mining industry. For several years they worked together on mining advisory projects, and in 2018 they formed GnT Mining as a holding company for their investment in Bosveld Mines.
Quinton’s experience as an asset manager and capital raiser complements Richard’s technical background and financial experience as a banker and mine operator.

RICHARD TAIT
Richard is a seasoned financial services and mining executive with 25 years’ work experience in African and emerging markets. After graduation, he spent several years working in the mining industry for Anglo American in South Africa and Mali, before switching to finance. His banking career included time with Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse in the UK and Australia. He then joined Standard Bank, with a specific focus on building the investment banking business across Sub-Saharan Africa. Based in Johannesburg and Mauritius, he built and led a business division which provided senior debt, mezzanine debt and equity investments in the retail, commercial, residential and leisure property sectors.
In 2011, he left banking, and joined a private equity business in Mauritius which focused on regional equity and mezzanine investments. One of his major deals was leading and managing his private equity firm’s investment into a diversified Zimbabwean mining company for 18 months. During this time, he focused on other business investments in Zimbabwe in the mortgage finance and property development areas. He has also launched and co-managed an African mezzanine debt fund for two years, and was a founding partner of Mangwana Capital, an investment and advisory firm which manages a private equity fund in Zimbabwe. His focus is on optimising the capital structure of GnT and looking at possible future transactions.
Richard holds a Chemical Engineering degree (University of Cape Town, 1st Class Honours), a B.Comm degree (University of South Africa) and Executive MBA (University of Sydney/NSW).

QUINTON GEORGE
Quinton is a highly experienced mining entrepreneur who spent many years as an asset manager, investing in small mining companies, particularly gold. He began his career as a bond trader with the Bond Market of South Africa and later joined a stockbroker on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. In 2000 he started his own asset management company, Trinity Asset Management. The company’s focus was on precious metals, commodities and technology investments. His fund was an anchor investor in the establishment of GoldOne which later grew into Sibanye Gold, South Africa’s largest precious metal producer.
In 2010 Quinton bought M Cubed Holdings Limited as a private equity investment company, focusing on a limited number of strategic investments. He enjoys investing in smaller companies with the right assets and people to have the potential to become great companies. In 2017 he and Richard were asked to advise a lender to Bosveld Mines. After several attempts to sell the gold mine, in 2018 Quinton raised the funding for GnT Mining to buy the company and bring it back into production. As CEO of Bosveld Mines, he is responsible for managing the investment for GnT Mining.
